County Age Group (CAG) Cricket is an integral part of the journey for future Kent and England cricketers. The Talent Pathway provides an environment for players’ skills and thinking to be developed and challenged at a higher level.

Kent Boy’s Pathway has CAG Squads at U12, U13, U14 and U15; players above this (U16-U18) fall into an Emerging Players Group (EPG). Our player development is guided by the Talent Development Framework (TDF) and delivered by our highly skilled coaches.

Each age group will have criteria for the managers and coaches to work towards, these are geared towards the TDF.

Trialists are nominated by our Area Cricket Programme (ACP) coaches and managers following assessment in coaching or games. At some levels recommendations are accepted from scouts. All trialists are invited to attend autumn trials and following that, squads are selected for the programme.
