The SACS Programme is a State School Academic Cricket Scholars Programme.
In partnership with local state schools, Kent Cricket delivers a programme that allows sixth form students—both boys and girls—to combine their academic studies with a comprehensive cricket development experience.
Alongside their education, participants benefit from professional coaching, tailored strength and conditioning, and dedicated employability sessions.
The employability sessions introduce students to the wide range of career pathways available within Kent Cricket.
The programme supports the development of transferable skills while highlighting opportunities across departments such as business operations, finance, and marketing, as well as performance-focused roles including coaching, analysis, and team management.
All learners can work towards England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) coaching awards while also completing recognised training in scoring and umpiring.
This combination of qualifications helps students build the expertise and credentials required to find work in performance cricket during the course and beyond the two-year programme.
This is an amazing opportunity for students to study, play, and understand all aspects of the world of cricket and help to provide an excellent opportunity to help employment and further education prospects.
The Programme will consists of the following parts:
- Sixth form academic studies at one of the Sixth Form Programme college partners.
- Four hours of cricket training per week.
- Personalised strength and conditioning programme
- Availability to adult club cricket every weekend
- ECB certified courses
- Talent ID pathway
