Talent Pathway

Boys are selected to CAG squads through scouting reports, recommendations from credible sources, and, summer performances in matches of the appropriate standard.

Girls can be nominated to trial for a CAG squad by Club, School or Area, with 'open trial days' for Under 11s

The Boys' KRDP sits directly below the County Age Group (CAG) Squads. The open nomination process falls in line with the recommendations outlined in the report by the Independent Commission for Equality in Cricket (ICEC) and the subsequent ECB response in 2023.

KRDP - Girls absorbed and built on the existing Girls Area Programme in Kent. The structure largely mirrors the new ‘Kent Regional Development Pathway – Boys’ and encompasses 4 regional hubs set up in Kent (North, South, East & West).

The SACS Programme is a State School Academic Cricket Scholars Programme. In partnership with local state schools, Kent Cricket delivers a programme that allows sixth form students—both boys and girls—to combine their academic studies with a comprehensive cricket development experience.
