Board Lead: Planning & Development

Tessa O’Neill is Head of Town Planning at BDP, an international architecture and urbanism practice, where she advises boards, executive teams and public-sector stakeholders on strategy, estate development, governance and delivery.

Master-planning, estate utilisation and development area key focuses of her role.

She has led strategic planning for major estates and campuses, most notably through 17 years advising the All England Lawn Tennis Club on its long-term masterplan and delivery of high-profile developments. Tessa operates at board level across financial, legal, planning and operational considerations, helping organisations balance sporting ambition, financial resilience and public benefit.

Alongside this professional background, she brings a lifelong passion for Kent Cricket.

Five generations of women in her family have supported the Club; her grandmother’s ashes were scattered outside the pavilion at the St Lawrence Ground (with prior agreement!).

Tessa currently sits on the Development and Advisory Group at Kent Cricket.
