Wednesday 24th September 2025
Linton Park Women’s Softball Cricket Squad have won two titles in 2025 as they take home the Kent Women’s Softball Bash and Kent Women’s Softball Cricket League shields.
Kent Women’s Bash Finals 2025
This year saw the first ever Kent Women’s Softball Bash Final take place at Bearsted Cricket Club’s second ground, Hollingbourne, on Saturday 20 September. Linton Park emerged victorious after beating both Sidcup and Chestfield on Finals Day.

We have seen continued growth in the number of clubs playing in the Softball Bash Leagues, with Sidcup (London), Linton Park (West) and Chestfield (East) winning their respective divisions. The Finals Day, hosted by Kent Cricket, saw matches consisting of 16 overs in a three team round robin format.
After a delayed start due to rain, Sidcup and Chestfield got us underway with the first game of the day, Chestfield securing the first win. Next we had Sidcup take on Linton Park, who won the toss and decided to bat first. With their top three batters retiring, it saw them post a decent score. Sidcup started with a quick, early runout, but weren’t able to sustain the pressure, and Linton Park secured the win whilst demonstrating a number of brilliant fielding moments.
With Chestfield and Linton Park both winning their first games, the final game of the day saw them go head to head for the title and to be crowned Champions of the first ever Kent Women’s Softball Bash.
Linton Park once again won the toss and elected to bat first. They were quick to score runs, however lost a wicket to a wonderful catch deep on the boundary, the only wicket Linton Park lost all day. A target of 141 was set for Chestfield to chase and they gave it a superb effort, only in the last few overs where they had two batters retire and lost a couple of wickets, that the game just slipped out their reach.
Congratulations to Linton Park for winning the inaugural Bash Final and a massive thank you to Bearsted CC for hosting the final and prepping the ground.
Kent Womens Softball Cricket League 2025
The Kent Women’s Softball Cricket League Finals for 2025 took place on Sunday 21 September, with Linton Park Cricket Club retaining their title.

The Festival League, has seen continued growth with eight divisions now across the County. Winners from the Central, East, Mid Kent, North, West, Mid West, South and Met East all qualified for the County Finals.
Finals Day was played in an 8-a-side pairs format, each innings lasting eight overs, with the eight teams split into two groups. Once the group stage round robins were complete, teams then entered the play-off stage. The top two from each group filtered through to the semi-finals with the remainder competing for the placed positions. Semi-Final one saw Linton Park overcome Gravesend in a very tight game, then Cobham CC took on and beat Sidcup CC in the second semi-final. The Final saw Linton Park beat Cobham, after losing to them in the group stages, to retain their title and shield, marking a hugely successful season.
Final Standings:
1. Linton Park
2. Cobham
3. Gravesend
4. Sidcup
5. Cowdrey
6. The Mote
7. Chestfield
8. Shoreham and Otford
Congratulations to all teams involved in such a flourishing format and competition and to Linton Park CC for their second league win. Huge thanks to St Lawrence and Highland Court CC for hosting such a fantastic Finals Day in the September sun.
