Metrobank Girls’ Cricket Funding – Club Insight Required
Thursday 10th April 2025
Kent Cricket are seeking input from the female club network to best determine how to utilise recent Metrobank funding for girls’ cricket clubs in the county.
The Metro Bank Girls in Cricket Fund, co-designed and jointly funded by Metro Bank and the ECB, focuses on recruiting, educating, supporting and celebrating the people that make girls’ cricket in clubs happen. The Fund provides support to current and potential new coaches and volunteers, female and male, both in clubs with a girls’ section and those starting a new girls’ section.
The Fund focuses on sustainable growth using multiple layers of activity that empower the female cricket network at every level.
Kent Cricket have designed a survey for participants from the club network to give some insight into what girls’ cricket coaches/volunteers would find most useful, and from this survey, we will then put together a summer programme of CPD events for clubs to get involved with, that cover some of the pillars above.
