Academy win at Sandwich Town

A young Academy XI won by six wickets against Sandwich Town at The Butts.

The hosts batted first and the Academy side included Under-15 skipper Bradley Goldsack and featured several members of the Under-17 squad.

Dartford bowler Isaac Raj and Alex Beck of Canterbury took three wickets each as Town were restricted to 200 with second XI regular Kai Appleby top-scoring with 85.

Under-17 openers Alex Moen (44) and Isaac Dilkes (35) gave the Academy a great start before Sam Smith saw the chase home with a measured 54 not out.
