Australia name squad for 2015 Women’s Ashes series

Rising star Nicole Bolton could make her Test debut for Australia at Canterbury in the Women's Ashes this summer, which includes the Kia Test at The Spitfire Ground, St Lawrence.

Bolton is one of three Southern Stars preparing for their first Test caps – Kristen Beams and Jess Jonassen the other two – with the multi-format Ashes set to begin in July with the Kia Test at Can

The single Kia Test match in the series takes place at The Spitfire Ground, St Lawrence on August 11-14 and three Royal London one-day internationals and three NatWest Twenty20s either side of the four-day Canterbury showpiece.

The 26-year-old Bolton smashed the highest score by an Australian woman on debut, when clocking 124 in a ODI against England in the summer of 2014.

Bolton went on to enjoy a productive series against Pakistan later that year, averaging 50.66, and is now poised to transfer that form into the longest format.

All the Women's Ashes matches will be broadcast live on Sky Sports TV and BBC Radio 5 Live Sports Extra.
