Charlotte Edwards wins three awards in Australia

Kent and England captain Charlotte Edwards was rewarded for her impressive form for Australian side Western Fury this winter with three awards.

The 35-year-old was named both Fury’s Women’s National Cricket League and Women’s Twenty20 player of the year respectively plus the Zoe Goss medal, awarded to the outstanding female cricketer in Western Australia.

Edwards struck 243 runs at an average of just below 50 in six WNCL matches and 413 at 41.30 in 12 WT20 innings.

The opening batter, who recently captained her country for the 200th time, was also skipper of Fury during her time with the club.

Her England team-mates Heather Knight and Sarah Taylor also starred Down Under for Tasmanian Roar and South Australian Scorpions respectively.

Australia take on Englandat The Spitfire Ground, St Lawrencein the only Women's Kia Test Match as part of an extended Canterbury Week this summer.

Entry to the Women’s Ashes Kia Test on August 11-14 and Kent v Australia men on June 25-28 is included in Kent All Rounder and Championship Plus Memberships and is an option for Six Pack package holders.
