Denly top-scores in Dhaka defeat

Kent player of the year Joe Denly continued his fine form as he hit 49 from 39 balls as Dhaka Dynamites were defeated in the Bangladesh Premier League.

After scoring 39 on debut on Monday, the 31-year-old hit six fours and two sixes in the highest score of the match before being bowled by a Mohammad Saifuddin yorker.

The reigning champions fell 13 runs short of victory at Chittagong and now sit third in the group table after ninematches.

Denly will see a familiar face in the next match against Rajshahi Kings who feature Spitfires opening partner Daniel Bell-Drummond (midday GMT).
