Sam Billings top-scores for England in India A tour win

Kent’s Sam Billings top-scored with 93 as England defeated India A by three wickets in the opening tour match in Mumbai.
The tourists chased 304 with seven balls to spare and the Kent Cricket Academy graduate hit eight fours in a fluent 85-ball knock and took England to the brink of victory.
He shared a 79-run stand with fellow gloveman Jos Buttler (46) before a 99-run partnership with all-rounder Liam Dawson (41) against a strong side featuring several internationals including MS Dhoni and Yuvraj Singh.
He departed to a full legside delivery that flicked his pad and deflected onto leg stump.
England return to action on Thursday (12 January) against India A before the first of three ODIs against India on Sunday (15 January).
