Second team game ends in draw at Beckenham

KENT“S Second Eleven drew their latest Championship match with Essex at the County Ground in Beckenham. After scoring 460-8, to lead by 103 on first innings, Essex then batted out for the draw – scoring 515-6 declared.

Wicketkeeper Paul Dixey – a part-time bowler – took two wickets (2-48) and Chris Piesley returned figures of 2-118 as the game petered out into a draw.
