The Royal London One-Day Cup returns to the Garden of England next week and we preview our opponents in a double-header at The Spitfire Ground.

Kent Spitfires have overseas signing Matt Henry available with new recruits Heino Kuhn and Harry Podmore also in contention for a home one-day debut.

Glamorgan (Friday 25 May, 11am)

A strong international contingent will be in the Glamorgan squad travelling to Canterbury next Friday with eight of the 13-man squad born outside of the UK.

South African skipper Colin Ingram is a threat with bat and ball alongside compatriots Chris Cooke and Marchant de Lange.

The Welsh county also have an Australian-born quintet of batsmen Shaun Marsh and Nick Selman, wicketkeeper Tom Cullen and seamers Michael Hogan and Timm van der Gugten.

Homegrown players include all-rounders David Lloyd and Jack Murphy, paceman Lukas Carey and spinner Andrew Salter.

Somerset (Tuesday 29 May, 2pm)

Taunton-born batsman Tom Abell was appointed club captain and will lead the Westcountrymen in first class and one-day cricket.

England Under-19 wicketkeeper-batsman Tom Banton is one to watch after a prolific start to the season including scores of 106 and 248 in second XI matches against Kent at Polo Farm last month.

Overseas signing Matt Renshaw, the Australian Test batsman, did not feature in Somerset’s opening group game at Surrey.

Meanwhile, spinner Dom Bess is likely to be on international duty after his maiden England call-up for the Test series against Pakistan.

There’s also a double-header at The County Ground, Beckenham against Surrey (Friday 1 June) and Gloucestershire (Sunday 3 June). Both matches start at 11am unless stated with gates opening an hour before.
