Second XI defeats in T20s
Kent Second XI suffered losses in both of their re-arranged T20 matches by seven wickets away at Somerset on Monday, despite some good individual performances.
Playing after their original scheduled fixtures were interrupted by Kent Second XI’s Trophy win, Somerset put out a strong side featuring several first team players.
In the first match, Kent mustered 113 runs and were all out in 18.1 overs. Jarred Lysaught top scored with 25. Somerset reached the winning target scoring 114/3 in 13.5 overs, with Grant Stewart taking 2 for 17.

There was an excellent innings of 78 from Sean Dickson, including 10 fours, when Kent batted in the second game to reach a challenging 164/6 from their 20 overs.
He was given good support by Marcus O’Riordan (44) in a first wicket stand of 86 in 10.2 overs.
Somerset took 17.5 overs to reach 167/3 for victory, Stewart and Lysaught taking a wicket apiece.
