Davidson-Richards makes Women’s Test debut

Kent Women all-rounder Alice Davidson-Richards has become the 32nd cricketer to represent Kent Women and also play a Women’s Test for England after earning England Women Test Cap number 164 against South Africa Women at Taunton.

Davidson-Richards was presented with her Test cap before play, and joins a prestigious list of Kent Women legends that have donned the White Horse domestically and the Three Lions at Women’s Test level.

She joins the likes of modern icons Charlotte Edwards, Lydia Greenway and Tammy Beaumont, as well as pioneering Kent Women names including Betty Archdale, Susan Goatman and the late Cecilia Robinson.

The right-hander has 128 appearances to-date for the Horses in a county career that began over a decade go, and has so far scored 1,793 runs and taken 116 wickets for Kent in T20 & One-Day cricket.

The 28-year-old already has 5 WIT20 and 1 WODI appearances for England in her career, after making her international debut in 2017.

The Spitfire Ground, St Lawrence will once again host a full England Women’s One-Day International (WODI) match in 2022, with a Royal London WODI against India under the lights in Canterbury on Wednesday, 21 September.
