THEPCA MVP (Most Valuable Player) is the newest benchmark in the game, a statistic that for the first time combines all aspects of a player“s performance to give him a ranking in relation to his peers.

The PCA MVP is unique in sports statistics. It is an evaluation of the players, designed by the players in order to find the cricketers who really win the matches.

We are well into the MVP“s third year in the county game and the results don“t lie. Both the 2007 and 2008 overall MVP winners – Otis Gibson and Martin van Jaarsveld (pictured) – were awarded the coveted title of PCA Players“ Player of the year on the back of their MVP performances.
