Secondary Girls’ Summer Competitions Open

Tuesday 10th May 2022

Kent Cricket have opened registration for Secondary Girls’ Cricket Competitions happening this summer.

Following on from the success of the ‘Indoor Eights’ in the winter, we will see three different 8-a-side cricket competitions available for schools to register for, the Hardball Eights, Chance to Compete and Outdoor Eights Competitions.

The Hardball Eights will be open to all schools and is a county competition for both U13 and U15 Girls’ age groups. There will be an East and West regional cluster hosted by schools leading to a County Final.

The Chance to Compete Competition is open to state schools only and is a national softball cricket competition for both U13 and U15 Girls’ age groups. Kent Cricket will run an East and West regional cluster for each age group, leading to a County Final where the winning school will have the chance to compete regionally and maybe nationally.

In a similar vein to Chance to Compete, the Outdoor Eights is also a softball cricket competition but is open to all schools and is only a county competition. Kent Cricket will again run an East and West regional cluster for each age group, leading to a County Final.
