Match Reports: Kent Second XI vs. Sussex Second XI
The Second Eleven T20 Southern Group double header matches between Kent Second XI and Sussex Second XI were both abandoned at The County Ground, Beckenham, without a ball being bowled.
Early heavy rain meant the match due to start at 11:30 was called off, and although the weather improved after lunch, and the sun came out, the game due to get underway at 15:00 was also abandoned because of a wet outfield.
Kent Second XI have two double header T20 matches scheduled for next week.
On Monday 23 May they travel across the Thames to play Essex Second XI, at the Cloud County Ground, Chelmsford, in day-night fixtures. The first match starts at 14:00, and the second is under the floodlights, with a 18:30 start.
On Wednesday next week the team return to The County Ground, Beckenham, when Kent Seconds take on Hampshire Seconds, with matches starting at 11:30 and 15:00
