Kent second eleven scorer elected Rugby Referees President

KENT second eleven scorer, Cliff Booth, has been named President of the Kent Society of Rugby Football Union“s Referees. Cliff, who joined the Kent Society as a referee back in 1970, said he was ‘very pleased and honoured to take on this great position.“

Cliff, who has been with the society for close on 40 years, now works as an assessor and was instrumental in the rise to fame of top referee Terry Hall. He added ‘I enjoy coaching the next generation of rugby referees and cannot wait to take on my new role of President. I“m very lucky. I have my rugby in the winter and the cricket in the summer. I thoroughly enjoy both sports and am looking forward to what will hopefully be another good year for the Kent second eleven in 2009.“
