Tunbridge Wells named in top 10 outgrounds in county cricket

The Nevill Ground in Tunbridge Wells was named as one of the best outgrounds in the country by The Independent newspaper.
This season, 84 days of cricket will be played at additional venues by 13 of the 18 first-class counties including six each at Tunbridge Wells and The County Ground, Beckenham.
Reporter David Hughes recommends The Nevill Ground "because of its history: the original pavilion was burned down by suffragettes in 1913, while the ground played host to India’s dramatic victory over Zimbabwe in the 1983 World Cup, one of the competition’s great matches."
Kent will play all formats at Tunbridge Wells in July 2015: a NatWest T20 Blast versus Glamorgan on Friday 17 July before a double header against Essex in the LV= County Championship (19-22 July) and the Royal London One-Day Cup (24 July).
2015 also heralds the return of The County Ground, Beckenham to the fixture list with a 2,000-seater stand and indoor cricket and conference centre.
The Spitfires will play away at two outgrounds in 2015: Cheltenham v Gloucestershire in the NatWest T20 Blast on July 12 and Radlett Cricket Club to take on Middlesex in the Royal London One-Day Cup on July 31.
