Members of the West Indies Test team will take on a First-Class Counties Select XI in a three-day match at The County Ground, Beckenham on Wednesday 3, Thursday 4, and Friday 5 July 2024.

This red-ball showcase match will take place just one week before the start of West Indies’ Test Series against England which starts at Lord’s on Wednesday 10 July.

Tickets for each day of the match are on sale now and are priced at £16 for adults, £7 for 14-17 year olds, and £5 for 5-13 year olds. Under 5s are free.

This is the first time that a touring full West Indies side have played at Beckenham and offers sports fans in South East London a great opportunity to watch West Indies international cricket stars in action.

This match is included in all 2024 Kent Cricket Memberships. Members must simple show their valid 2024 Membership card at the gate for entry to each day of this match.

A variety of activities are taking place at The County Ground, Beckenham across all three days of this Test Match warm-up fixture:

Day One (Wednesday 3 July)

  • An area to play dominos will be available for all to try their hand at the game of choice for many in the Caribbean at the Copers Cope Road end of the ground
  • Caribbean food & drink will be available to purchase
  • Children from four local schools will be in attendance to enjoy Day One of this fixture

Day Two (Thursday 4 July)

  • A ‘Schools’ Day Out’, much like the initiative at The Spitfire Ground, St Lawrence during Canterbury Cricket Week, is taking place – giving thousands of local schoolchildren the opportunity to see the West Indies team in action before their Summer Test series against England
    • A number of cricket activities will be available for schools to take part in with the Kent Cricket Community Team
  • An area to play dominos will be available for all to try their hand at the game of choice for many in the Caribbean at the Copers Cope Road end of the ground
  • Caribbean food & drink will be available to purchase

Day Three (Friday 5 July)

  • A steel band & Caribbean dancers will be entertaining spectators throughout the day
  • A high catch competition will be taking place on the outfield during the Lunch interval
  • Local organisations will be in attendance with stands around The County Ground
  • An area to play dominos will be available for all to try their hand at the game of choice for many in the Caribbean at the Copers Cope Road end of the ground
  • Caribbean food & drink will be available to purchase

The County Ground, Beckenham will continue to cement its reputation as Kent’s cricketing stronghold in South East London this coming year, sharing hosting duties with The Spitfire Ground for Kent Spitfires’ home Metro Bank One Day Cup group matches in high Summer in August. Two home group One Day Cup matches will be played at each venue.

The South East Stars will also be competing at The County Ground, Beckenham all Summer, with nine matches scheduled across both the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy one-day competition and the Charlotte Edwards Cup T20 tournament.
