The Spitfire Ground, St Lawrence is a cashless venue. The Kent Cricket Shop, ticket sales, and food & beverage payments at all outlets are conducted without cash during matches.


Derek Underwood: 1945-2024

The Club is in mourning following the death of one of the icons of Kent Cricket, Derek Underwood.

A minute’s silence will take place before play on Day One of this fixture to celebrate the life and career England’s most successful Test spinner.

A Book of Condolence for Kent Members & supporters to remember Derek in will be inside the Kent Cricket Shop throughout the match.

Kent’s players will be wearing black armbands throughout the match, and the Flag of Kent at the top of the Frank Woolley Stand will continue to fly at half mast.


Members’ Forum

The first Members’ Forum of the 2024 season will take place inside the Ames Levett Indoor School during the Lunch break on Day One (Friday 19 April). Members must show their valid 2024 Membership Card for entry.

      • Click on ‘VIEW ALL TICKETS CLAIMED’ > ‘SEE DETAILS’ > ‘PRINT’
    • Members & Six Pack Ticket Bundle holders can gain entry by scanning their valid 2024 Membership/Ticket Bundle Card at the gate
      • If you haven’t received your 2024 Card yet, please come to the box office on arrival
      • If your Card does not contain a photo, please visit the Kent Cricket Office where a photo will be added to your Card at no further charge
    • Be prepared for changeable British weather

    • Match tickets and Memberships can either be downloaded directly into the wallet on your smart device, or the PDF e-ticket can be scanned directly at the gate from your device

  • What should I think about when I plan my journey to and from the ground?

    • Don’t miss a minute of play – give yourself plenty of time to arrive; gates will open at 10:00, one hour before the start of play

      • Please ensure that your seating position does not impact on the view of other spectators

    • Buy your tickets with confidence – should there be less than 16 overs bowled in the day, ticket purchasers for that day’s play will receive an automatic ticket credit to their Kent Cricket Ticketing Account.

Getting to the ground

  • Where can I enter the ground?

    • Pedestrian access to this match will be via:
      • Via the Kennedy Gates, to the left of Sainsbury’s and the entrance to the Oriole at Lime Tree Café, OR
      • At the Nackington Road entrance to the ground
    • Vehicle access for Spitfire Ground Car Parking Pass holders and pre-booked Blue Badge holders is via the Main Gates on The Drive
  • What time do gates open?

    • Gates open at 10:00, one hour before the scheduled start of play
  • Can I buy a ticket at the gate?

    • Yes – you can purchase a ticket for each day’s play via the Box Office adjacent to the Kennedy Gates at the Old Dover Road entrance to the ground – to the left of Sainsbury’s and the entrance to The Oriole at Lime Tree Café
  • I'm a Member & I'm bringing a Guest, can they come with me into Member areas?

    • Yes – Members & Six Pack Plus Ticket Bundle Holders are able to purchase an upgrade ticket for their guests at the Box Office (£5 per day) – this will allow their guest to accompany them to Members areas for the day
  • Can Members of the visiting team enter Member areas?

    • Yes – Members from the opposition will be able to access Member areas on production of a valid 2024 Membership Card from their respective county
  • Is parking available for this match?

    • Ground Parking will only be available for Spitfire Ground Car Parking Pass holders and very limited spaces for pre-booked Blue Badge Holders
      • Windscreens must be covered at all times when sun reflection could interfere with play
      • Please enter the ground via the red gates on The Drive, where a steward will direct you to your parking area
      • Ensure you have your car parking hanger and Membership card ready to present to the steward

  • I have a Blue Badge, can I park in the ground?

    • Blue badge holders with a valid Spitfire Ground Car Parking Pass will not be charged to park – but must book a space in advance by emailing Members@kentcricket.co.uk
    • Blue badge holders without a valid Spitfire Ground Car Parking Pass will be charged a daily rate of £15 per day – and again must book a space in advance by emailing Members@kentcricket.co.uk 

Inside the ground

  • Are there any seating restrictions for this match?

    • There is no designated seating for this match
      • General Admission ticket holders and Six Pack Ticket Bundle Holders can sit in any of the uncovered seated areas inside the ground
      • Members and Six Pack Plus Ticket Bundle Holders can also sit in the below areas:
        • Frank Woolley Stand Upper
        • Underwood & Knott Stand
        • The Chiesman Pavilion Upper
        • The Lower Cowdrey Stand
  • Is there accessible seating inside the ground?

    • Yes – accessible seating for any spectator can be found in the lower part of the Frank Woolley Stand & outside The Oriole at Lime Tree Café, as well as a new Accessible Viewing Area to the east of the Leslie Ames Stand
  • Are printed scorecards available?

    • Yes – The Kent Cricket Shop and a stall by the Old Dover Road entrance will be selling printed scorecards for £1 on every day of this fixture
  • Will I be able to use cash inside the ground?

    • No. All match day payments at The Spitfire Ground, St Lawrence are now cashless. The Kent Cricket Shop, ticket sales, food and beverage payments at all outlets will now be conducted without cash

    • Yes, re-admittance is permitted for this fixture

    • Men’s Toilets are located behind the Frank Woolley Stand and at the rear of the Leslie Ames Stand

    • An Accessible Changing Places pod is located to the rear of the Leslie Ames Stand
  • Where am I allowed to smoke in the ground?

    • Smoking is not permitted in any of the seated or covered areas, including e-cigarettes or vapes
      • Spectators may smoke in designated areas as signposted
  • Can I bring my own food & drink?

    • Yes. For this fixture, four cans of beer/cider or one bottle of wine are also permitted into the ground
    • Food & beverage outlets will also be available inside the ground, including The Oriole at Lime Tree Café
  • Which food & drink outlets will be open for this match?

    • Public bars are available inside the Leslie Ames Stand and the Cornwallis Room inside the Colin Cowdrey Stand
      • Food will also be available in the Leslie Ames Stand from 12:30 – 14:00
    • A Members’ Bar is in operation inside the Chiesman Pavilion with a discount on drinks for all 2024 Members
    • A Carvery dinner is available between 12:30 & 14:00 for all spectators inside the Cornwallis Room
    • The Oriole at Lime Tree Café will be open on every day of this fixture
  • Can I bring my dog?

    • Yes. For this fixture, dogs are permitted into the ground on a short lead
  • Am I allowed on the outfield during breaks?

    • Outfield access remains at the discretion of the Club’s ground staff and can be affected by adverse weather forecasts
      • Final decisions made on pitch access will be communicated by in-ground announcements on the day of the match
  • Is there a Multi Faith Room that I can use at the ground?

    • Yes – there is a Multi Faith Room in operation inside the Ames Levett Sports Centre

  • Is there a dress code for Hospitality guests?

    • We’re pleased to confirm that there will no longer be a formal dress code for hospitality guests in place at Kent Cricket venues from the 2023 season onwards.The move – which is part of Kent Cricket’s Action Plan for Equity, Diversity and Inclusion – is designed to ensure that its venues, matchdays and major events are as welcoming and inclusive as possible.
