Ball and Bell-Drummond selected for England Under 19 tour of Bangladesh

ECB today announced the England Under 19 squad for the forthcoming tour of Bangladesh which begins in January.

Kent all-rounder Adam Ball will captain the 15-man tour party, with Daniel Bell-Drummondone ofeight selected players who featured in this summer’s One-Day series against South Africa.

Adam Ball commented on today's announcement; "It is a great achievement to be selected, and an honour to be asked to captain. I look forward to captaining and the challenging conditions both on and off the field.

"It will be nice to have Daniel Bell-Drummond in the squad as well. We have grown up together through the Kent system, we know each other really well which will enable us to cope with the challenges and support each other during the tour."

Former Kent Cricket Academy scholars, Ball and Bell-Drummondhave excelled within Kent’s first-team during the 2011 season, and both recently extended their contracts with the Club.

England Under 19s are due to depart the UK on January 12th for a seven-match series of U19 One-Day Internationals against their hosts with the first encounter due to take place in Chittagong on January 20th.
