Malinga Bandara trapped Jimmy Adams leg before for 52

Kent v Hampshire LV= County Championship Division 1, Day three in Canterbury.
By Mark Pennell
Hampshire openers Jimmy Adams and Michael Carberry dug in to frustrate Kent“s attack for much of Thursday“s opening session and take their side into lunch on 97 for one – an overall lead in the match of 119.
Kent sent down 37 overs in the session, but rarely looked like making a breakthrough as left-handed Adams posted a 126-ball half-century that included two leg-side sixes off the bowling of James Tredwell.
At the other end former Kent batsman Carberry (39*) looked less certain and survived one leg before shout against Tredwell after a rare misjudgement and just moments later Malinga Bandara finally broke a partnership worth 92 in 47 overs.
Adams, sweeping hard at a quicker delivery from the Sri Lankan wrist-spinner, played over the top of it to go leg before for 52 and end a patient 138-ball stay.
