BBC Radio 2 cricket at the St Lawrence Ground

BBCRadio 2 will return to the St Lawrence Ground this September with a charity cricket match, raising funds for Children in Need.

This private booking of thegroundis the result of a winning bid of over £100,000 made during a Children in Need auction on Chris Evans' BBC Radio 2 Breakfast Show earlier this year. The winning bidder and their friends will be joined by cricketers and celebritiesfor a match against the legendary Bunbury's.

The matchwill take placeon Thursday 13th September, with 25 overs eachand an afternoon tea break in the middle.

Kent Cricket has received a number of enquiries in the lead up to this match, and we can confirm that although theSt Lawrence Ground itselfwill be open on Thursday 13thSeptember, this is a closed match and a private booking.
