Kent batsman Brendan Nash is return to action this weekend for Northern Suburbs in the Queensland First Grade.

The former West Indies player, who recently re-signed for 2015, has enjoyed a rest so far this winter after a gruelling summer for Kent.

Nash, 36, has been coaching in Queensland this winter while recovering from a side strain suffered last season.

He was named in the Northern Suburbs side to face Sandgate-Redcliffe over the next two Saturdays (6 and 13 December).

Nash averages an impressive 48.5 in 50 appearances over nine seasons with the Norths.

He could line up alongside former Australia players Nathan Hauritz and James Hopes as well as Australia A star Joe Burns.
