One of the world's best-selling artists of all time, Bryan Adams has sold more than 100 million albums worldwide and rose to fame with albums Cuts Like a Knife and Reckless including hit singles Run to You and Summer of '69.

In 1991, he released (Everything I Do) I Do It for You, one of the best-selling singles of all time, which appeared on the soundtrack album from the film Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves and on sixth studio album Waking Up the Neighbours.

Bryan Adams said: “The Get Up Tour is shaping up to be a fantastic summer. We have seen such a great response from fans that we wanted to play as many places as possible, which is why I am delighted to now announce the Canterbury concert.

“We’ll be rocking the stage with songs from the new album, which I think are some of my finest yet, and of course there’ll be some of the old favourites, too.”

Kent Cricket CEO Jamie Clifford said: “We love bringing music to Canterbury and look forward to welcoming Bryan Adams to Kent on Saturday 13 August.

"He has a reputation as an entertaining live performer and we hope people in Kent can come along and enjoy a night to remember.”

Kent County Cricket Club have hosted several concerts in recent years, namely Elton John, Sugababes, James Morrison, Madness and this year Simply Red in June.
