CB40 campaign off to a flying start with ECB ‘Road to Lord’s’ competition launch

THE SKY’S THE LIMIT FOR CLYDESDALE BANK 40 CRICKET AS THOUSANDS OF PRIZE WINNING BALLOONS ARE LAUNCHED

This weekend, the ECB and Clydesdale Bank quite literally launched an exciting new competition to give people across the country the chance to be on the “Road to Lord’s”.

The Kia Oval hosted the opening game of the 2012 Clydesdale Bank 40 competition between Surrey and Somerset,as well as the first Road To Lord’s competition as thousands of balloons were released into the London sky.

It really is finders’ keepers as each balloon will have a prize winning tag attached to it which – when it finally lands – will give lucky finders the opportunity to be in with a chance of winning a special Clydesdale Bank 40 prize.

All you will have to do when you’ve found a balloon is email the unique code complete with your details to roadtolords@CB40.co.uk to register and enter the prize draw which could see you winning a once in a lifetime VIP trip to the Clydesdale Bank 40 final at Lord’s on September 15th.

Steve Elworthy, Director of Marketing and Communications at the ECB said; “We are always looking for innovative ways to interact with cricket fans and members of the public and we believe the “Road to Lord’s” competition is exactly that. Not only was it a great spectacle to see thousands of balloons released into the sky in central London, but it also offers fans far and wide the chance to win a great once in a lifetime prize.”

Kent also got their CB40 campaign off to a flying start this weekend, with Matt Coles continuing his devastating form against Yorkshire, snatching six for 32 to put Kent on course for a four-wicket victory in the Group C curtain-raiser at Headingley. Click here to read the match report.
