Club holds annual Trials Day at The Spitfire Ground

Kent Cricket welcomed over 30 trialists from all over the country to the Club’s Trial Day for 2024, held at the Ames-Levitt Indoor School on Friday 16 February.

There were trialists from recreational cricket clubs in Kent, London, and three players from the South Asian Cricket Academy were also put through their paces.

Men’s Head Coach Matt Walker was joined by Men’s Bowling Coach Robbie Joseph, Men’s Batting Consultant Toby Radford, Men’s Second XI Coach Mark Dekker and Talent Pathway Coach Ed Stanford to assess the trialists.

Successful trialists will be invited as net bowlers to work with Kent’s professional playing staff as part of pre-season preparation, with further opportunities available to feature in the Second XI over the course of the Summer this year.

An unmissable evening of cricket is coming to Canterbury in the Summer of 2024, and tickets are now on sale to see England’s heroes take on the White Ferns of New Zealand in Canterbury, just an hour’s journey from the capital.

It is only the second time that Canterbury has hosted a Women’s International T20 match in its long history, and will be another boost for the continued growth of women’s cricket in Kent.

Tickets for this match are now on general sale at Early Bird prices – don’t miss out on saving money & being there to witness England in T20 action:
