New Introduction to Umpiring Course

Ahead of the launch of the ECB Umpire Course, which is planned to be run across Kent in spring 2024, new and prospective umpires are invited to attend Kent ACO’s new 2.5-hour Introduction to Umpiring course.

Primarily aimed at players, parents of junior players, schools and complete beginners, this short standalone course will give any cricket enthusiast curious about becoming an umpire a taste for what the role entails, an introduction to the laws and outline what lies ahead should they wish to pursue their interest in officiating.

Whilst not a prerequisite for the new ECB Umpiring Course, it could provide useful background.

This will be held on the following two dates in November 2023.

The Spitfire Ground, Canterbury: Thursday 23^rd November

The County Ground, Beckenham: Wednesday 29^th November

Both courses, subject to a minimum participation, will commence at 7:00pm and expect to finish by 9:30pm.
There is a course fee of £10 and is payable upon registration.
