Outdoor Eights Winners Confirmed

The Outdoor Eights made its debut this year in Kent, as a competitive softball cricket competition for both U13 and U15 Girls’ age groups, open to all secondary schools.

Kent Cricket ran an East and West regional cluster for each age group in term 6, leading to the County Finals hosted at Polo Farm in Canterbury. Over 20 schools participated this year with Molly Davis, our Women’s & Girls’ Community Coach stating, “It was fantastic to see so many schools enter, the Outdoor Eights has provided a fast-paced form of cricket, engrossing girls into the game and attracting many new schools to compete.”

This summer has been thriving with girls’ cricket opportunities and Kent Cricket are proud to bring back these competitions for the first time following COVID. A huge thanks must go to all participating schools and especially to all the venues and teachers who made these events possible.

Indoor competition dates for 2023 will be released to schools during term 1 for registration.
