Crawley selected for second Windies Test

Kent batsman Zak Crawley has been named in England’s 13-strong squad for the second Test against the West Indies at Emirates Old Trafford, starting on Thursday.

The right-hander got his first taste of Test cricket on home soil when he featured in first #raisethebat Test in Southampton, recording a new best Test score of 76 runs in England’s second innings.

He has now made scored of 50 or more in each of his last two Test matches, and is expected to bat ‘at three’ ahead of the returning England captain, Joe Root.

Due to the rain in Manchester, England were unable to train outside and practised in the indoor nets at Emirates Old Trafford ahead of the #raisethebat second Test against the West Indies starting on Thursday 16 July 2020.
