Exciting final day in prospect for the Kent second team

Kent“s second team go into the final day of their Championship match with MCC Universities in a strong position after another successful showing on day two. Emerging off-spinner Maurice Holmes returned figures of 4-90 as the visitors were restricted to 280-9 declared in their first innings. Second time around, Kent then reached 54-2 to lead by 125 at the Mote in Maidstone.

Earlier in the game, a personal best of 163 from Charlie Hemphrey (pictured) moved Kent into a strong position.
