Kent County Cricket Club would like to thank all the members and supporters that attended this year“s fireworks extravaganza. A crowd in excess of 1,500 turned up at the St Lawrence Ground to enjoy a phenomenal evening.

The entertainment got underway at 6.00pm when event host George Wood, from Screen on the Green, welcomed everyone along. Ghostbusters the Movie then got underway soon after.

Plenty of children, and adults alike, took part in the fancy dress competition with a whole host of prizes on offer including Playmobil, tickets to the Robin Hood pantomime at the Marlowe Arena, Shepherd Neame goody bags and tickets to next season“s Twenty20 Cup.

The 20 minute fireworks display got underway at 8.20pm with the bumper crowd looking on in admiration. With themed music playing in the background, the watching crowd all enjoyed the brilliant display.

Marketing Services Manager Sally Harrison played a key role in putting the event on and was delighted with how it went: “I would like to thank the people of Kent for supporting our event. Over 1,500 spectators turned up and everyone went away happy. We received some great feedback and are already looking forward to next year. I would like to thank Frontier Fireworks Ltd for their support. It was comfortably our best fireworks event yet!”
