Ford close to UK return

Thursday 23rd April 2009

DIRECTOR of Cricket, Graham Ford, is confident that he will be back in the UK for Kent“s next LV County Championship match, starting on Wednesday 29 of April, against Essex at Chelmsford.

The South African has patiently been waiting clearance for a visa but now, after completing an English literacy exam, he feels hopeful of an imminent return.

He said: "I am pleased that progress is being made and I am confident that I will be back for the Essex game. It has been slow and frustrating, for all concerned, but it looks like everything is now virtually done."

The Kent Spitfires are back in action on Sunday when they start their Friends Provident Trophy campaign with a trip to Somerset Sabres. We will keep you up-to-date with all the action from Taunton here on the official website.
