Four Kent cricketers in Stars Academy cohort for 2022/23

South East Stars, the regional development centre covering Kent & Surrey, has announced its Academy squad for the coming year, with a number of Kent talents included.

Four players involved in Kent’s Female Talent Pathway are included: Darcey Carter, Sydney Gorham, Genevieve Jeer & Jemima Spence.

All have represented Kent Women’s First Team in 2022, & have been a part of the Stars’ talent programmes in the past year.

‘Keeper-batter Spence was named Kent Women’s Emerging Player of the Year for 2021, & Carter smashed a century for Scotland Under-19s in a recent World Cup Qualifier against the Netherlands.

Sydney Gorham was named Fielder of the Year at this season’s Spitfire Kent Cricket Awards after representing the county in two formats, whilst young gun Jeer made her First Team debut for Kent Women this year.

Tickets are now on sale for England vs. Sri Lanka in a Women’s One-Day International at The Spitfire Ground, St Lawrence in Canterbury this September:
