The 22-year-old has featured in six of the Sunrisers’ 11 matches so far, & gave a vital cameo of 18 not out from only six deliveries, including hitting two sixes in the final over of the first innings off the bowling of Marco Jansen, to help the Sunrisers defeat the JoBurg Super Kings in the second Semi-Final at Centurion.

Deployed as both a wicketkeeper & outfielder during his time in Gqeberha (previously Port Elizabeth), Cox will hope to help lift the first ever SA20 trophy tomorrow (Saturday 11 February) against the Pretoria Capitals – starting at 14:30 UK time & shown live on Sky Sports in the United Kingdom.

The news comes following Sam Billings’ Desert Vipers reaching the Final of the International League T20 (ILT20) in the Middle East – which takes place this Sunday (12 February).
