A stellar performance from Joe Denly

A fantastic performance from Joe Denly today,whohit his first century of the season puttingKent in control on day one against Leicestershire at The Nevill. Denly, who recently has recently returned to the Kent side, having suffered a broken thumb earlier in the season, increased on his season best of 85, making 143. He put on century partnerships of 198 with Rob Key (91) and Sam Northeast (140). The innings also saw significant contributions from the captain Rob Key with 91 and Sam Northeast who fell for 99 to Andrew McDonald from the penultimate ball of the day, leaving Kent on 376-3.
