Kent County Cricket Club is delighted to confirm that four members of the U17 Kent Cricket Performance Squad have been selected to take part in the U17 Super 4 competition in July.

Following a meeting of the London and East regional selectors at Lord’s, the Club has learnt that Jack Laraman, Ryan Davies, Piers Richardson and Hugh Bernard are included in a squad of 14 players to represent the region in this year’s competition to be held at Loughborough.

This is particularly encouraging news for the Club as three of the four players have come through the Kent Cricket Academy system as Kent Cricket High Performance Manager, Jason Weaver explains; “This is a fantastic achievement for our young cricketers, who have all worked extremely hard on their game. They have made great progress and I am confident that they will each make an impact in the competition as they have demonstrated a great commitment to their cricket and have enormous potential.”

The competition will be run across one week in early July, and aims to bring together the best young cricketers across the country to compete against each other.

The four teams are; London and East, South and West, Midlands and the North. This is a similar competition to the Bunbury Festival, but at under 17s level.
