Kent Cricket pleased with 2012 Survey results

Kent County Cricket Club’s annual Surveys have been completed and analysed for the third year, with the Club delighted with improving results.

Over 800 Members and Supporters completed the Club’s 2012 Surveys, with the results showing a noticeable improvement in overall satisfaction levels with the Club.

Kent Cricket Members registered a 57% improvement in overall assessment of the Club, and Supporters 36%. In all, over 60% of those responding to each of the two Surveys rated the Club as ‘good’ or ‘excellent’.

The Club has also noted a significant increase in positive responses to the Club’s communications, including the Extra Cover e-newsletter, and a new pricing structure introduced for 2012.

Kent Cricket Chief Executive Officer, Jamie Clifford commented: “Without a doubt, the settling in of the redevelopment programme at St Lawrence Ground and a more competitive team on the field have been major factors in this improved assessment.

”This as well as an enhanced communication programme and competitive pricing structures have all been central to the Club’s recent strategies. I am very pleased, whilst recognising that there is still work to be done.”

Since the Surveys were completed, Kent Cricket’s Sales and Marketing Team have been recognised for their hard work during the 2012 season, receiving top honours at the ECB’s Business of Cricket Awards in London, winning The Innovation Award for their new database management systems, along with Awards for Best Friends Life t20 Match Day Experience and Best Clydesdale Bank 40 Promotion.

Cricket clubs throughout England and Wales have found the 2012 season challenging from a financial perspective, with both weather conditions and a reduction in the Friends Life t20 programme limiting opportunities to drive financial returns.

CEO, Jamie Clifford is keen that this is acknowledged in the Club’s assessment of the season, but remains optimistic: “The feedback and assessment we receive from the Surveys are absolutely vital to our planning and operations, and we are very appreciative of the hundreds of people who complete them, and I can assure them it makes a big difference. We look forward to continuing the trend in 2013.”
