Kent cricketers raise a bat for #CaptainTomsTon

To celebrate the 100th birthday of fundraiser Captain Tom Moore, Kent cricketers Sam Billings and Joe Denly are encouraging everyone to raise their bat to mark Cpt. Moore’s Century tomorrow, Thursday 30th May.

Captain Moore, who has so far raised over £29 million for the NHS during the COVID-19 crisis, has family hailing from the county that are avid Kent Cricket supporters.

Kent Cricket’s captain, Sam Billings, said: “I’m encouraging every single cricketer to raise a bat for Captain Tom. He’s been an inspiration to us all, and we want to support him on his 100th birthday.

“His family have made a great choice in what county cricket club they support and we wish Captain Tom the very best.”

Kent & England’s Joe Denly said: “What an inspiration Captain Tom is.

“I encourage all cricketers across the country to raise a bat for Captain Tom Moore.”
