Kent earned their first CB40 victory of the summer, comfortably easing to a nine-wicket success over Scotland in Edinburgh.

Batting first, Scotland scored 180-6 from their 40 overs; built largely around an 87-run fifth-wicket stand between Richie Berrington (68) and Neil McCallum (41).

In pursuit of 181 for victory, Kent got off to a good start with skipper Rob Key and vice captain Martin Van Jaarsveld (pictured) leading from the front.

Van Jaarsveld hit an unbeaten 72, at the Grange, and shared in a profitable unbeaten stand of 111 with Key (67) as Kent got home on 183-1.

The win, with more than nine overs to spare, lifts Kent up to fourth in the Group C table.
