KENT’S cricketers lost their latest Second-Eleven Trophy match against Gloucestershire, in Cheltenham, by 109 runs. In a game reduced to 32 overs per side, because of rain, the home side batted first and scored an impressive 270 for seven. Matt Coles (pictured) was the pick of the Kent attack with figures of five for 56.

Chasing 271 for victory, Kent were dismissed for 161. Batsman Chris Piesley top-scored with 43.
