Kent lose latest Second Eleven Trophy match

DESPITEa knock of 61 from batsman Dan Stickels (pictured), Kent lost their Second Eleven Trophy match against Northants by six wickets at King“s School in Canterbury. Rain delayed the start so the game was reduced to 42 overs per side.

Batting first, Kent scored 160 for nine, from their 42 overs, with the left-handed Stickels top-scoring. All-rounder James Goodman further outlined his ability with an unbeaten 57.

Northants made light work of their victory target, reaching 161 for four inside 24 overs, to record a six wicket win.

The two sides meet again tomorrow in a Second Eleven Championship match.
