Kent name squad to face Hampshire Royals in t20 match at The Rose Bowl

Kent Spitfires face Hampshire Royals on Thursday 30th June at The Rose Bowl. The match will be televised on Sky Sports 1 between 7 and 10.30pm, which is good news for Kent supporters unable to make the trip to Southampton.

The Spitfires squad will be the same squad which beat Sussex Lions at Beckenham on Sunday. The Spitfires 153-4 (18.1 ovs) beat Surrey 150-4 (20.0 ovs) by six wickets in Sunday’s match which was enjoyed by a 4,500 strong crowd at Beckenham. Azhar Mahmood and Martin Van Jaarsveld were Kent’s top scorers in that match, putting on a combined total of 112 runs which sent Kent cruising to victory.

The Spitfires have a busy weekend as they return to Kent on Friday night to face Essex Eaglesin a match at the St Lawrence Ground. These two matches are crucial for the Spitfires as they strive for a place in the Friends Life t20 quarter finals. Hampshire Royalsare currently top of the South Groupand Essex are in joint fourth place alongside Kent.
