Kent name squad to face India at the St Lawrence Ground

Kent Spitfires willface Indiatomorrow,Friday 26th August, in a sell-out matchat the St Lawrence Ground. The 50 over match will start at 2.30pm and continue into the evening under floodlights in front of around 7,000 spectators. Adding to the atmosphere will be a range of entertainment from 2pm, including traditional Indian Bhangra dancers and drummers – Jugnu Bhangra, as well as a range of British music and dance.
Rob Key and Azhar Mahmood will both miss this match due to injury. Geraint Jones will captainthe Spitfiresin the absence of Key.

Please note that spectators may not bring alcohol into the ground for this match, in line with ECB requirements for tour matches. Spectators are welcome to bring picnics to the ground, with plastic utensils, but should be aware that space may be limited.
A variety of food will be available for sale at the ground, including Indian options, with both vegetarian and non-vegetarian choices. The public bar and Jonesy’s Kitchen in the Les Ames Stand will also be open to all spectators, where food will be available.
Parking for this match will be at Simon Langton Girls School, costing £8.00, or the New Dover Road Park and Ride (£2.50), which is a short distance away. There will be no parking on site at the St Lawrence Ground.
Security will be stringent for this match, and spectators should expect to have their bags searched as they enter the ground. Gates open at 12.30pm – please be patient; you will gain entry to the ground quicker if you do not bring large bags with you. In keeping with guidelines for Friends Life t20 matches, no spectators will be allowed onto the ground.
Kent Cricket Life Members, All-Rounder Membership holders, Junior Associates and Six-Pack card holders can gain entry to this fixture upon production of their card.
There will be one further opportunity to see Kent Spitfires at the St Lawrence Ground before the end of the season.
