Kent name squad to face Northamptonshire at The County Ground

Kent have named their squad ahead of their LV= County Championship match against Northampton at The County Ground, Northampton on Thursday.

Kent are boosted by the return of premier spinner James Tredwell. The off-break bowler missed the season’s opener at Headingley, due to England commitments in Sri Lanka, but will now come back into the squad.

The main absentees are Azhar Mahmood (on IPL duty) and young duo Daniel Bell-Drummond and Adam Ball who continue to impress for the England Under-19s in Australia. Seam bowler Ashley Shaw will also face a spell out of the side after undergoing an operation on his shin last week.

Announcing the squad, Jimmy Adams commented; "We are hoping to continue building on the back of the performance last week. James Tredwell returns to the side in place of Adam Riley – the rest of theteam remains unchanged."
