Kent teenagers Molly Davis, Jess Golden, Elodie Harbourne and Izzy Clokewill join the best young cricketing talent in the country at Shrewsbury School next week.

As England take on Australia at The Spitfire Ground, St Lawrence in the Kia Women's Ashes Test on Tuesday, the duo will play in the annual England Women’s Development Programme Under-15 (EWDP U15) Super 3s competition will run from Tuesday, August 11 to Friday, August 14.

The top 39 young players are split evenly into three teams with Davis in the Emeralds team, Golden playing for Rubies and the Diamonds featuring Cloke and Harbourne in front of the England scouts.

Davis, 14, made her senior debut this summer with a win at the Kia Oval against Surrey and top-scored against Yorkshire for Kent Women at Harrogate on Sunday.

Head coach Stu Eddicott said: "It's great to see Molly, Jess, Elodie and Izzy involved and shows the great work our coaches do with the age group squads.

"Molly is a very mature batter for her age. She has the ability to use her feet to the spinners and also has the strength to hit bowlers over the infield."

In addition to competing in two 40-over matches and two T20s during the week, the players will also take part in a range of educational workshops focussing on nutrition, strength and conditioning, and personal developmental and welfare.
