Kent v Somerset squad news

Play is scheduled to start at 3.30pm as Kent Spitfires begin the bid for a third successive win in the Royal London One-Day Cup on Tuesday when Somerset visit The Spitfire Ground. The match will be 42 overs per side weather permitting.

Joe Denly inspired the Spitfires with a club record 150* to clinch the points against Glamorgan on Thursday before superb death bowling by Calum Haggett and Matt Henry denied Hampshire by a run on Sunday to stay on the road to Lord’s.

Somerset are likely to be without Jack Leach (thumb), Tom Abell (finger), Dom Bess (England) and Josh Davey (quad) but Johann Myburgh returns to the squad

The visitors sit second in the group after starting the tournament with two wins and two defeats before a 53-run home win against Middlesex on Sunday.
