Billings was selected with the fourth pick of the BBL|12 Overseas Player Draft as a Platinum pick for the Heat, where he will join-up with former Kent overseas player Matt Renshaw in Queensland.

His new Kent teammate Richardson was named Melbourne Renegades’ Player of the Year in BBL|11, & was part of the Renegades side that won BBL|08 back in 2018/19.

Kent & England opener Zak Crawley will feature in the BBL following the conclusion of England’s Test tour of Pakistan on 21 December after being signed by the Hobart Hurricanes, & could make his debut against ‘Richo”s Renegades on Christmas Eve (24 December) at 04:30 GMT – again shown on Sky Sports Cricket in the UK.

Teams play each other twice during the group stages, totalling 14 matches per side. The top five then progress to the knockout stages.

In the knockouts, the fourth and fifth-placed teams contest the eliminator, with the winner going on to face the third-placed team in the knockout.

The top two teams face off in the qualifier, with the winner earning direct entry to the final. The loser of the qualifier gets a second chance to reach the final when they face the winner of the knockout fixture in the challenger.

Kent Spitfires’ T20 opener is against Gloucestershire at The Spitfire Ground, St Lawrence in Canterbury on Wednesday 24 May 2023 – entry to all scheduled T20 home matches is included in Kent Cricket Memberships, on sale now.
